Ms. Mary Lynn Hopps
Mary Lynn W. Hopps studied at H. Newcomb College of Tulane University, earned a BA from the University of Houston in Theatre and an MA in English from The College of New Jersey (Trenton State). She was the interim director of the Women In Learning and Leadership (W.I.L.L.) Program from 2002-2005 and was appointed as the permanent director in 2005. Mary Lynn has served as adjunct faculty at The College of New Jersey since 1995 and began teaching in the Women’s and Gender Studies department in 1997. She continues to teach in WGS and develop leadership and other courses, including the W.I.L.L. senior capstone “Women’s Leadership and Social Change.” She has been an invited panelist for a number of women’s leadership conferences, co-authored an article on feminist pedagogy, chaired the committee that developed a Gender and Violence concentration and course, and sits on the advisory board for TCNJ’s Sexual Assault Task Force (SATF). Some of her previous leadership positions include serving as president of various organizations, chairing fund drives and sitting on a Board of Trustees.
