LIT 370 - Childbirth in Women's Literature (Special Topics)
This course will chronologically historicize various religious, scientific, and cultural discourse of childbirth which have pre-empted women's narratives for centuries.  We will then celebrate the empowerment of women (poets, playwrights, literary critics, scientists, anthropologists, historians, religious scholars, doctors, midwives, and mothers) as they reclaim this sacred discourse at the threshold of a new millennium.
